Our guests always ask us, “where is the best place to eat on Fort Myers Beach?” or “where do the locals eat on Fort Myers Beach?” Our amazing staff is always on hand to provide you with the best local information around, which is why we want to direct all your food related questions for Sunday, May 7, 2017 directly towards the 22nd annual Taste of the Beach. This popular food festival draws thousands of hungry locals and visitors year after year who are looking to sample the best of all of our restaurants, cafes and eateries in one place.
Located just west of Gulf View Manor amongst the hustle and bustle of Times Square and Old San Carlos, roads will be closed off for festival goers to eat their way through a day of booth-to-booth dining. Underneath tents, over 20 of our local chefs will prepare their most popular items for attendees to indulge in. From Caribbean-inspired favorites to hometown delights, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the 22nd Annual Taste of the Beach.
At the end of the day, a panel of judges will select award winners for the categories of Best Appetizer, Best Beef Dish, Best Seafood Dish, Best Chicken Dish, Best Dessert and Best Decorated Booth. Those selected will hold the title for the year of 2017 until next year’s event.
Other than food, enjoy live music will be provided by local band Jo List and Friends from 12-4pm.
Don’t miss the most popular event at the festival, the famous server competition! Watch as the best of the best in local service staff compete in a number of service-related obstacle games and courses in hopes of winning the title for 2017!
